Surprise, surprise: Favour Nnaji is back at it again. For the fourth time this season the junior walked away from a track meet with a first-place finish in the 100-meter dash when he topped the field at the 7th annual County Clash meet held at Oakdale High School on March 22.

The 2018 Masters Meet qualifier has not showed any signs of slowing down in 2019. Despite not matching his season record time put up at the Jaguar Invitational a week ago (11.00), Nnaji (11.25) outpaced senior Myles Leopold (11.32) and junior Myles McArn of Lincoln High out of Stockton at Oakdale.

Favour was also party to a third-place finish for the boys 4X100 relay team. The team of Francisco Duran, Obadiah Godbolt, Precious Nnaji and Favour Nnaji (43.91) took bronze. Oakdale’s John Foreman, Cameron Burke, A.J. Martinez and Zeke Saffar and Lincoln’s Jayline Surrel, Avi Phimpha, Myles McArn, Tristan Aings (43.88) tied for first place.

The team will travel to Palo Alto to participate in the Stanford Invitational on Saturday, March 30.
