TYSL team finishes second in District 8

The Tracy Youth Soccer League B2 under-14 boys team took second place in the CalNorth District 8 tournament last month. The Tracy Youth Soccer League B2 under-14 boys team made a run at the California Youth Soccer Association CalNorth District 8 championship last month, finishing just short of the tournament title.

The Tracy team went 3-1 for the weekend of Nov. 22 and 23 in a seven-team bracket at Stockton Soccer Complex. On the first day, Tracy B2 shut out both Manteca B2, 2-0, and Manteca B3, 1-0. The Tracy team opened the second day with a 3-0 win over Manteca B3 and then lost 2-0 to Stockton B1 to finish as tournament runner-up.

Offensive standouts for the Tracy team included Marco Tinoco and Jesse Perez. Humberto Suarez was strong on defense, and goalie Ryan Ziller allowed just two goals in four games.
