The Tracy/West Winter Holiday Boys Basketball Classic, now in its 26th year, brings eight teams together this weekend for competition at Tracy and West high schools.

Competition started Thursday, with semifinals tonight at both high schools and finals on Saturday at West High.

West High (4-4) is the four-time defending champion of the tournament, including three years when it was a 16-team tournament and last year, when West’s Kenneth Daye made a last-second shot to win the championship game against Tracy 65-64. The classic is the third tournament for this year’s Wolf Pack team and the second for Tracy (2-2).

Also competing this year are Kimball (5-3), Buhach Colony (0-8) of Atwater, Pacheco (3-3) of Los Banos, Castlemont (3-5) of Oakland, East Union (0-4) of Manteca, and Lathrop (0-7).
