A memorial service will be Saturday for Brunilda Wiley, 86, a former Tracy resident and depot employee, who died Monday at a Roseville hospital.
A native of Rincon, Puerto Rico, Mrs. Wiley moved to Tracy from Ohio in 1972. She moved to Sacramento four years ago.
She worked 23 years for the federal government — 11 years as a keypunch operator in New York and Ohio, two years as a computer operator in Carmichael and 10 years at the Tracy depot.
In Tracy, Mrs. Wiley was a member of Grace Brethren Church for 20 years. She taught Sunday school at churches in Puerto Rico and Florida.
Survivors include a son, Joseph M. Wiley of Rancho Cordova; a daughter, Jennifer Chivers, and her husband, Michael, of Tracy; three brothers, Dr. Nelson Cardona of Manati, Puerto Rico, Osvaldo Cardona and his wife, Zenida, of Moca, Puerto Rico, and Rene Cardona, and his wife, Paquita, of Brooklyn, N.Y.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her husband of 17 years, Joseph H. Wiley, who died in 1991; her parents, Emilio and Josefa Cardona; and seven siblings, Jose Cardona, Emilio Cardona, Jaime Cardona, Olga Warner, Victor Cardona, Harry Cardona, and Germany Cardona.
Saturday’s memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. at Grace Brethren Church, 1480 Parker Ave. Burial will follow at a later date in Rincon.
