Last week’s Remember When mystery photo showed a delegation from Tracy that went to Memuro, Japan, in September 1989 to help cement relations with the city on Japan’s northern island of Hokkaido that was soon to become Tracy’s Sister City. Left to right: Ina and City Councilman Clyde Bland, Sue and Mayor Richard Hastie, Tracy Sister City Chairman Ken Yasui, City Attorney Bill Coats and Gladys Ceciliani. During their time in Memuro, the Tracyites took part in the 90th anniversary of the founding of the Japanese city.

Identifying those in the photo were Evelie Grebil, Cindy Schack, Linda Potter and Richard Giambastini.

Today’s mystery photo, below, shows a production line of a food-processing plant in Tracy. What was the plant, what did it produce, where was it located and what was its fate?
