Tracy High gym owner David Nunes will host bodybuilding champion Jay Cutler for the grand opening of Nunes’ new gym, Ironworks, on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Cutler is a four-time Mr. Olympia, winning the title in 2006, 2007, 2009 and 2010, joining such bodybuilding legends as Arnold Schwarzenegger, Ronnie Coleman and Lee Haney as a multiple winner of the event. Cutler will be at Ironworks, 4220 Commercial Drive, Ste. 18, to meet fans from noon to 3 p.m.

Nunes, a fitness and bodybuilding trainer for 35 years, is the former owner of Total Performance Fitness, a business that he operated with his son, Shaun, between 2011 and 2015. His clientele included Green Bay Packers wide receiver James Jones and Jacksonville Jaguars long-snapper Matt Overton, then with the Indianapolis Colts.

Nunes opened Ironworks earlier this year. It includes Build & Burn Boot Camp, run by Susie Arroyo, who has been training with Nunes since 2013.

The Ironworks grand opening, including a chance to meet Cutler, is free and open to the public.
