Pattersonites are invited to join a Patterson Garden Club tour of Monterey and Castroville on Tuesday, Oct. 18. The daylong trip – from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. – is a scholarship fundraiser of the local club.
The tour agenda includes a 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. stop in the town of Monterey for sightseeing, shopping and lunch in the scenic historic wharf area of the beautiful coastal city.
In Castroville, attendees will visit from 2:30 to 4 p.m. The trip includes a private 20- to 30-minute tour of a wholesale/retail nursery that includes hundreds of varieties of succulent plants and many unique displays throughout the property. Tourists will also have time to browse on their own.
The bus departs from the Wal-Mart parking lot, 1030 Sperry Ave. at 8 a.m. and returns there at 6 p.m.
The reservation deadline is Oct. 7.
Participants should send their name, address, phone number, guest information and emergency phone contact along with $45 per person. Admittance cost includes driver’s gratuity, and there are no refunds.
