Yes, that was rain we heard and saw this month.

The wet stuff finally found us, dumping almost 2 inches of much-needed rain between Monday, Nov. 2, and Tuesday, Nov. 10, according to the West Stanislaus Irrigation District, which covers the Westley Area.

Readings for that 8-day time period are: .75 inches on Nov 2, .40 inches on both Nov. 3 and Nov. 9, and .25 inches on Nov. 10.

Patterson Irrigation District did not return requests for rain measurements.

According to accuweather.com, this week’s weather will be dry with lows in the mid 30s and highs in the upper 60s through Saturday, Nov. 14.

Accuweather reports that rain is expected to return on Sunday, Nov. 15, and shower the drought-parched land.
