Stanislaus County residents age 60 and older may be nominated for the 2016 Senior Awards. These awards honor outstanding volunteer work in the areas of community service, humanitarianism, leadership, political advocacy and being a good neighbor.

The Stanislaus County Board of Supervisors will recognize one volunteer from each supervisor’s district in May for Older Americans Month.

The achievement, accomplishment or service upon which the nomination is based must have taken place in Stanislaus County. Eligible work must be solely on a voluntary, unpaid basis.

The nomination forms are available at the Stanislaus County Area Agency on Aging, 121 Downey Ave., Site 102, Modesto, and must be returned there also.

The deadline for nominations is March 10. For more information, call 558-7825 or 800-510-2020.
