Patterson’s last year in the Western Athletic Conference is proving to be an exciting goodbye for the Tigers.

For the first time since 1992, the varsity boys wrestling program has the chance to capture a league title. It has been a long drought for the Patterson wrestling program, but that can all change on Tuesday at Livingston High School.

The buildup has been 26 years in the making, and a victory over Livingston is all that stands between the Tigers and title glory.

As good as the season run has been for the Tigers, the Wolves have matched Patterson every step of the way. Both teams will enter Tuesday with an undefeated 4-0 WAC dual meet record.

Livingston cleared their path to the title match with a 42-31 victory over Central Valley last Thursday.

Patterson defeated Central Valley two days before by a final of 52-21, to remain undefeated.

The match is scheduled for 5 p.m. at Livingston High School.
