SV consignment boutique to host grand opening

A grand opening celebration event is scheduled for Saturday, May 5, at the Fuse Clothing Consignment & Gift Boutique in Scotts Valley.

The clothing and accessories boutique, which opened its doors in April, is adjacent to Erik’s DeliCafe in the Kings Village Shopping Center, 222 Mount Hermon Road

The event will be from 5 to 8 p.m. and will feature music, refreshments, a raffle, and appearances by local artists.

Organization announces new chief executive officer

After a national search, the ETR Associates Board of Directors recently announced the selection of Daniel McCormick as the agency’s chief executive officer, effective June 1.

The organization, which has offices in Scotts Valley, San Francisco and Washington, D.C., supports health, education and social service providers through research, publications, information resources, training and programs.

McCormick has a diverse background as a health care and business executive, having held president and CEO positions at organizations in Michigan and Minnesota. He also has a master’s degree in health care administration and a bachelor’s degree in business finance from University of Minnesota.

Summer arts exhibits to debut countywide

Beginning May 15, the Santa Cruz County Bank Arts Collaborative will host an exhibition titled “Picturing Music” at bank branches in Scotts Valley, Santa Cruz, Capitola and Aptos in celebration of the Cabrillo Festival of Contemporary Music.

The displayed artwork includes pieces by such artists as r.r. jones, Bonni Carver, John Crawford, David Fleming, Lisa Hochstein and Charles Prentiss, as well as work from the Festival collection.

Joan Blackmer is inspired by the festival’s 50 years as a creative influence in the community

An opening reception is scheduled for 5 to 6:30 p.m. May 31 at 720 Front St. in Santa Cruz.
