Services will be Monday for Betty Jean Towers, 89, of Tracy, who died Dec. 31 at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco.
Mrs. Towers was born in Des Moines, Iowa, and had lived in Tracy the past four years. She worked 10 years as office manager for the Union City Chamber of Commerce and owned Towers Liquid Express of Fremont with her husband for 10 years.
Survivors include a daughter, Pamela Wilson, and her husband, Bert, of Tracy; and two sons, Steve Towers, and his wife, Denise, of Snohomish, Wash., and Scott Towers, and his wife, Kitty, of Banta; a brother, Dick Gustin, and his wife, Dolores, of Marysville, Iowa; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her husband of 52 years, Richard H. Towers, who died in 2003; her parents, Stanley and Leva Gustin; and two siblings, Colleen Mcilhon and Bob Gustin.
A memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at Hotchkiss Mortuary, 5 W. Highland Ave. Private inurnment will take place at a later date at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Ukiah.
