A celebration of life is planned Jan. 23 for Rose Louise Woodard, 66, a Tracy native, who died Jan. 1 at her home with her family at her side.
Mrs. Woodard graduated from Tracy Joint Union High School in 1966. She worked at the old Copper Cat hamburger stand for many years until its closure. Soon afterward, she began working with children, first at Bella Vista Christian Academy and later in Tracy Unified School District. She retired at age 62.
Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Billy “Woody” Woodard of Tracy; a son, William “Willie” Neeley; three stepdaughters, Connie Neeley, and her husband, Shaun, Cathy Gillam, and her husband, Audie, and Cheryl King, and her husband, Raymond; a sister, Barbra Atkinson; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Verna and Louis Luiz; a sister, Pat Dilley; two brothers, Richard Ely and John Luiz; and a stepson, William Woodard.
A potluck and celebration of her life will begin at 1 p.m. Jan. 23 at Tracy Wildlife Association, 12222 W. Finck Road.
