Services will be Tuesday, Jan. 6, in Sacramento for Servando Sanchez, 87, of Sacramento, a former Tracy resident, who died Dec. 23 in Sacramento.
Mr. Sanchez lived in Tracy from 1968 until a few months ago. He was a longtime member of Laborers Local 73 and enjoyed visiting Lake Tahoe.
Survivors include three children, Servando Sanchez Jr., and his wife, Trudy, of San Diego, Celia Sanchez of Sacramento and Victoria Sooy, and her husband, Jim, of Stockton; nine grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are three sisters, Amelia DeLeon and Josephina Salas, both of Detroit, Mich., and Angelica Trevino of Sinton, Texas; two brothers, Albert Sanchez of Sinton and Jerry Sanchez of Taft, Texas; and many nephews and nieces.
Preceding him in death were his wife of 64 years, Alicia C. Sanchez; and a son, Daniel C. Sanchez.
Tuesday’s service will begin at 10 a.m. at St. Rose Catholic Church, 5961 Franklin Blvd., in Sacramento. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, 6700 21st Ave., in Sacramento, followed by a reception. Visitation will be observed from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 5, with a rosary from 6 to 7 p.m., at Andrews & Greilich Mortuary, 3939 E. Fruitridge Road, in Sacramento.
