Golden Gate Bridge

The recipient of the top prize at Tracy Camera Club’s June meeting responded to her win with a “woohoo” and three exclamation points.

Olivia Gonzalez, 12, a seventh grader at Discovery Charter School, submitted “Golden Gate Bridge” in the Monochrome category. She took the photo with a Canon 5D Mark II with a 24mm wide-angle lens set to F8.0, atop Battery Spencer on the Marin Headlands.

Club members submitted 66 photos in several categories for this month’s contest. Olivia won Image of the Month once before, in October 2017.

“The competition is getting tougher in our club” with “lots of great photographers,” she wrote.

Olivia, the youngest member of Tracy Camera Club, joined with her father three years ago.

“My Dad and I have fun going places and taking pictures of all kinds of stuff,” she wrote.

She shares her photography on Instagram, @livipic.

The Tracy Camera Club meets the second Wednesday of each month on the second floor of the Grand Theatre Center for the Arts, 715 Central Ave. A class begins at 6:30 p.m., followed by the general meeting and competition from 7 to 9 p.m. For information: Geoff Faulkner,
