CB Merchant Services, a collection agency based in Stockton, gave $108,000 in grants to 38 nonprofits in San Joaquin, Stanislaus and Calaveras counties in 2018, including some in Tracy.

Among the local beneficiaries were the Boys and Girls Clubs of Tracy, McHenry House Tracy Family Shelter, Tracy Historical Museum and Tracy Interfaith Ministries.

The agency also sponsors a $2,000 essay contest for high school seniors administered by the California Association of Collectors Educational Scholarship Foundation. The deadline is June 30, and details are online at http://cacesf.org.
