Retired haberdasher Richard Hughes has again taken over leadership of the Kiwanis Club of Tracy.

He and other officers of the service club were installed during the recent 61st annual installation of officers at the Four Corners Restaurant.

Joining Hughes, who had served as president earlier, as club officers are Bob Haupt, secretary, and Larry Alegre, treasurer. New directors are Don Low, Rolland Skarloken Jr., Nancy Young and Diane Colon Montalbo.

Tony and Diane Montalbo were named “Kiwanians of the Year” for their 18 months of outreach work to form the Kiwanis Club of Mountain House, which has 20 charter members.

Members of clubs in Tracy or Mountain House are invited to share news about their groups. Send email to, call 835-3030 or leave a note at the Tracy Press, 95 W. 11th St., Ste. 101.
