Cara Gallagher

Tracy High School graduate Cara Gallagher, pictured with a surveying instrument called a theodolite, is studying marine mammals for the Danish government.

Cara Gallagher, a 2009 graduate of Tracy High School, is researching the effects of sea turbines on marine mammals for the government of Denmark.

Gallagher is also studying for her doctorate at Aarhus University, her parents reported.

She earned a biology degree from California State University, East Bay, in 2013 and a master’s degree in ecology and conservation from the Romberg Tiburon Center at San Francisco State University.

She and her husband, Paul Hervé, recently moved to Roskilde, Denmark. They were married Oct. 7.
