Mountain House 10, Beyer 4

The Mountain House baseball team extended their 3-2 lead with a four-run third inning in the second game of their doubleheader on Tuesday in Modesto, and kept scoring to take the 10-4 win.

Sophomore Cameron Valentine went three-for-four for the Mustangs and junior Isaiah Castillo had two hits and two RBIs. Seniors Taylor Yuki and Ernesto De Leon and sophomore Jordan Rimando-Fabro also had two hits and one RBI each.

Junior starting pitcher Chase Patrizio gave up five hits and four runs, two of them earned, and he struck out eight batters over 6 2/3 innings, and junior Armando Ponce-Torres finished the seventh inning allowing no hits or runs.

Beyer 9, Mountain House 2

The Beyer High Patriots rallied for six runs in the third inning to take a 9-2 lead on Tuesday in Modesto in the first game of a doubleheader and held the lead for the rest of the way to take the 9-2 win. The Mountain House batters collected six base hits, including a double and a single for sophomore Cameron Valentine and a single and an RBI for senior Miguel Lomeli.

Senior pitcher Taylor Yuki allowed eight hits and nine runs, five of them earned, over three innings while striking out five batters, and juniors Joseph Higgins and Jareth Franco pitched relief, allowing two hits and no runs.

Lodi 2, Tracy 1

The Tracy High baseball team scored in the first inning on senior Kyle Corona’s sacrifice fly in Tuesday’s home game at Monte Vista Middle School. Even as the Lodi High baseball team collected 13 base hits, it wasn’t until the game went into extra innings that the Flames got the go-ahead run.

The Bulldogs’ five hits included two for junior Drew Giannini and one each for senior Cameron Pereira, junior Cooper Wilcox and sophomore Josh Cortinas. Sophomore pitcher Jacob Jones allowed 10 hits and one run over seven innings, and senior Clayton Delong gave up three hits and a run in relief.

Berean Christian 7, Mountain House 3

The Mountain House High baseball team hosted Berean Christian on Saturday, with the Mustangs taking the 7-3 loss to the visiting Eagles. The Mustangs held a 2-1 lead going into the fifth inning, which is when the Eagles rallied for four runs to take and keep the lead.

Leading batter for Mountain House was junior Tyler Hingco with two doubles and two RBIs. Senior Miguel Lomeli also doubled and drove in a run, sophomore Ny'zaiah Thompson doubled and singled and senior Taylor Yuki had two hits.

Yuki pitched two innings and allowed no hits and one unearned run and juniors Joseph Higgins, Armando Ponce-Torres and Jareth Franco combined for five innings allowing two runs each.

Bear Creek 8, Tracy 5

The Bear Creek Bruins started with a 2-0 lead in the first inning, and the Tracy Bulldogs tied it up 3-3 with three runs in the bottom of the third on Saturday at Monte Vista Middle School. The Bruins answered with four runs in the top of the fourth and held the lead the rest of the way for the 8-5 win. Junior Drew Giannini doubled and drove in two runs for the Bulldogs, sophomore Daniel Behrmann doubled, singled and batted in a run, and seniors Kyle Corona and Kiefer Peltz also batted in runs.

Senior Matt Canada pitched four innings and gave up six hits and seven runs and sophomores Josh Cortinas and Jacob Jones and senior Nick Ramirez combined for three innings, allowing four hits and one more run.

Millennium 16, Delta Charter 2

The Falcons ran through their batting order for a 10-run fourth inning to seal their 16-2 win at home over Delta Charter High on Tuesday.

Seniors Alijah Gandall and Jacob Abad both went three-for-four, Gandall with three RBIs and Abad with two RBIs. The Falcons’ 12 hits also included a home run for senior Jason Piazza as he batted in two runs.

Piazza also struck out nine Delta Charter batters over three innings, allowing two hits and no runs, and senior Jacey Zuniga gave up two hits and two runs in one inning, and senior Elias Almanza pitched one inning, allowing no hits or runs.

Stagg 18, Millennium 2

The Stagg baseball team rallied early with a seven-run first inning, eventually taking the 18-2 win in five innings on Friday in Stockton. Millennium’s runs came in the fourth and fifth innings.

Senior Anthony Gonzalez had two hits and an RBI and senior Jacob Abad doubled. Junior Brandon Locke gave up five hits and seven runs over 1 1/3 innings, and seniors Amir Nabi, Chad Maciel and David Martinez combined for seven hits and 11 runs over 2 2/3 innings.

Millennium 7, Big Valley Christian 5

Millennium senior Caden Duke struck out 18 batters on April 22 during the Falcons’ 7-5 win in extra innings over Big Valley Christian in Modesto. Duke allowed just two hits and two runs, including one earned run, over 6 2/3 innings.

It took until the fifth inning for the Falcon batters to put up two runs. Big Valley Christian answered with a run in the bottom of the fifth and one in the bottom of the seventh to put the game into extra innings, with the game tied 3-3 after eight innings and 5-5 after nine. The Falcons won it with two unanswered runs in the top of the 10th.

Millennium’s batters totaled nine hits, including three for senior Miles Brown, who batted in two runs, plus a single and an RBI for junior Diego Ruiz.
