The Tracy Little League 10-and-under All Stars were the last local team standing in the Little League District 67 tournaments, held last week at the Tracy Sports Complex.

The 10U All Stars finished as runners-up in their nine-team double-elimination bracket, defeating Ripon and Spreckels Park in the first and second rounds before losing to Manteca. Tracy came back with a win over Salida on July 8 to get to Friday’s championship game against Manteca.

The Manteca team opened with a 4-run first inning on three hits and collected five more hits for a 6-run second inning, taking a 10-0 lead.

Tracy got on the scoreboard in the bottom of the second when Jaxx Ahuero singled and Thomas Graham doubled, and both came home on Eddie Chagoya’s single. Tracy scored again on back-to-back doubles for N.J. Gutierrez and Noah Aranda in the third inning.

Manteca scored two more runs in the fifth inning, and Tracy came up with a string of hits for Graham, Makai Sibayan and Eddie Chagoya to bring in one more run.

Tracy finished with 10 hits, including two each for Gutierrez, Ahuero, Graham and Chagoya.

Manteca also won the 12U tournament, defeating Northgate on Sunday at the Tracy Sports Complex. Tracy’s 12U team went 2-2 for their tournament, finishing on Friday with a loss to Northgate.
